The workshop provides an opportunity to exchange ideas for novel sustainable production chains enabling recycling and recovery of valuable materials. It builds on long-term relationships with Brazilian and Dutch industry and researchers and on successful previous projects, supported by established agreements. The aim is to explore added value and prepare for new joint project proposals. These could address agriculture (fertilisers, soil, plant, health, etc) as well as industrial chemical processes, i.e. using renewables as a feedstock to the chemical industry.
The workshop is meant to stimulate creativity and explore sustainable futures which benefit from international collaboration. Participants are invited to give a 5 minute pitch on a pressing problem or on a promising research topic. There will be break-outs for interactive exchange of ideas for joint research projects. Possible funding options and IP agreements will be presented. The workshop will close with agreements on follow-up actions for joint project proposals.
